Bath Cake Boutique

Here's where I ramble about Bath Cake Boutique. The products, the formulas, or whatever. Also probably a smattering about my sons, husband, and life in general.

Testimonial!

What a fabulous testimonial received last night!!

From Bonnie:

Oh. My. Goodness.
Your bath cakes are amazing. The lotion bars are great. And I threw out my old chapstick after using the lip balm. :-)

I will be placing a pretty good sized order of the bath cakes here soon--

Presidents Day Trip and Brambleberries!

This past weekend we took the boys out to visit my Dad (Papa) for a couple of days. Not only because we just like to visit regularly but it was Dad's birthday (the big 6-0!!). On Monday, we all took the boys to the Higgins Armory Museum. What a fantastic place! If you even remotely enjoy things midevil or knights, swords and the like, I highly recommend it. Plus on the 2nd floor when the little ones have had their share of reading and looking at things they can't touch there is a wonderful room full of things they can do and touch and play with. There are also organized activities at nominal fees. The boys made their own shields. :) A happy day.

I also just *had* to snap a picture of some preserves in the gift shop ... after all they were full of:

Brambleberries!!! :)

The Marines Aint Got Nothin on Me!

I jest, of course! But seriously, it is 8am on Saturday morning and I got up, made 3 Bath Cake orders, in full, labeled (this part is surprisingly difficult for me), packed, AND shipped them all! I have one outstanding order left, it is still in the works. Many of my products take 1-2 days to "cure" properly.

Bath Cake Boutique has really been an amazing experience thus far. When I started & ran Blissful Skin, I had over its life I want to say less than 20 orders. And every single one of those orders I struggled (ok, except the ones from msbyn, thank you for keeping me going) for. Now, now I'm getting orders at about 2-4 a week. It is amazing. I don't really know what the difference is. The product line is basically the same, though this theme of baked goods really suits my personality more than Blissful Skin ever did. Maybe that's the difference? Maybe I'm just really comfortable with the products and that somehow shines through to people. Whatever it is I'm glad its working. I've got a small handful of "regular" customers now and new ones popping up all the time. I absolutely adore talking to people and making something just for them. Hope it grows into something I can do instead of my job... :)
