Bath Cake Boutique

Here's where I ramble about Bath Cake Boutique. The products, the formulas, or whatever. Also probably a smattering about my sons, husband, and life in general.

Much ado..

Much ado about nothing right now, but soon... I've been busy making loads of new products. Well, new looking products, anyway. The soapy cake is nearing perfection and it really looks like a cake now. I've been holding off putting up pictures since my camera is so old and takes the horrible pictures you see on the site now! But I'm hoping mother's day will bring me a brand new camera and things can get off on a better foot. Thank you so much to my loyal clients during this growing process.

In other news ... most of you know I am a cancer survivor now ... I am doing the relay for life again this year, this time as the Captain of my team and without my cancer hat! :) The very lovely and caring nurses at my cancer center have been urging me to set up a table for Bath Cake and sell stuff at the Relay. I didn't feel right about doing something for personal profit there ... so as usual, my most favorite supplier has the perfect solution! I just ordered a soap mold that makes soaps with support ribbons on them and some pink mica. Yep, I'm going to make some pink ribbon soaps for the Relay for Life.... I will sell them... but they will benefit the cancer center's emergency fund. This emergency fund paid all of my major bills this past December (mortgage, electric, and gas) when I had been unemployed for 5 months and my disability insurance denied my claim. To say they saved my family doesn't begin to tell the story. So I will sell soaps that day, but for someone else's family.
